Rydges Hotel

Rydges Auckland is undergoing a significant extension to the original hotel, adding the new Hobson Street Tower, a new 10 storey tower that once completed, will be connected to the existing hotel.

Systems

A water cooled chiller and hot water boilers serve 90 Fan Coil Units mounted in the guest rooms ceiling space. Three air handling units serve level 1-3 meeting rooms and the restaurant. An air handling unit located on level 10 serves and supplies tempered fresh air to the corridors and guest rooms.

The project:

Airpro was involved in the design and build of the air conditioning system for the hotel. Ducting was fabricated in the Airpro Auckland factory and its Fiji facility. A new type of valve (TVVC) has been installed for the heating and chilling of the water which will create a significant savings.
